At the beginning of the game, the grid will have some numbers already filled in. We have to use the logic to fill in the missing numbers and complete the grid. Your move would be incorrect if -
1 any row contains more than one number between 1 and 9.
2 any column contains more than one number between 1 and 9.
3 any grid contains more than one number between 1 and 9.
It is a Japanese Game based on the logical placement of numbers. It does not require any calculation or mathematical skills, but only concentration.
The goal of Sudoku is to fill a 9x9 grid such that each row, column and 3x3 section contain all the numbers between 1 and 9.
1 You can get points for clearing each Level, which would also unlock further Levels and help you proceed.
2 Each correct entry of a number would fetch you 1 point. Any wrong entry or re-writing of a number would deduct 1 point. You can get a maximum of as many points as there are empty cells, at the start of any level.
3 If you clear a Level successfully, you would get Fixed Points for clearing it (applicable only Once), as well as the Points earned in clearing the Level (can be earned repeatedly).
Tips to Play
1 Start with rows, columns or 3x3 grids that contain maximum number of already filled out numbers. This would help you in completing that row, column or grid and move on to others.
2 In many cases, you will find numbers that can only be placed in one position, considering that the other numbers are already existing in that row, column or grid.
3 Fill numbers using the elimination technique. Since numbers cannot be repeated in one row, column or grid, you would know where the particular number should logically appear.
A player gets a maximum of 5 hints in any game so they should be used wisely. A Hint would fill in the number in any cell, selected by the cursor, and this action would deduct 1 Point.
